MUNICIPAL NOTICE
At its Regular Meeting on June 2, 2009, Council passed Bylaw 09-046 authorizing the closure of a laneway off of Murphy Avenue in Swastika and delcaing it surplus for sale to the abutting owner being 2 Connaught Avenue.
At its meeting of June 16, 2009 Council will consider the passing of the following bylaws:
- Sale of 12 Woods Street
- Closure of the Dixon Avenue Extension

Armistice Resources Hits High Grade
Armistice Resources Corp. announced that it intersected high-grade gold mineralization at its McGarry advanced exploration project during its latest round of infill drilling. The McGarry project is an advanced exploration underground gold project existing of 34 contiguous patented mining claims and licences of occupation totaling 484 hectares and adjoins the former Kerr Addison Mine.

Trails Master Plan Released
The Kirkland Lake Trails Committee presented its vission of a community trail network at a recent meeting of council.
The committee, made up of members of the former Trails 2000 Committee as well as other interested individuals hired a the MMM Group to formulate a master plan. MMM Group Associate Partner Mark Inglis presented the plan to municipal leaders.
Inglis noted that the the proposed trailwould go from Gull Lake to the south end of Kinross Pond. It would evolve over several phases and be a multi-use system consisting of lookout points, viewing areas and complete signage.
