To Register By Mail

Mail your form and cheque to:

Parks and Recreation Dept

These will be processed as they arrive, after the In Person Registration.

Registration by phone is not accepted.

Refunds

If we cancel a program you receive a full refund. If a person attends a number of classes and cancels due to illness or an unforseen move from town or upon the instructor’s recommendation, a pro-rated refund will be awarded (a doctor’s note is required for medical reasons). An administration fee of 10% for memberships is charged for all refunds. Refunds are not given for other reasons. All refunds are done on a pro-rated basis from the date the request is received. Refund requests may be completed in person at the front desk.

Policies:

The Parks ‘n Rec Department reserves the right to withdraw, postpone, cancel or combine classes and limit registration.

Cancellations:

If inclement weather or maintenance problems forces the cancellation of a class, another class will only be arranged if the schedule allows it. Reimbursement will only be made if more classes must be cancelled. All cancellations will be aired on CJKL, the local radio station. If the pool must be closed due to a fouling or a pool maintenance problem, lessons will not be cancelled but will consist of dry land training.

Class Size:

Class sizes are limited and offered on a first-come first-served basis. As classes become full, we will make every effort to schedule additional classes. Management reserves the right to cancel classes failing to meet minimum numbers.

Late Registration:

Registration will be taken up to the first day of the class if room permits. Persons registering for a program once it has commenced will be charged a prorated fee.

Payment:

Payment is due upon registration. Cheques can be made payable to The Town of Kirkland Lake. Payments made after the first class are subject to a $5.00 additional fee.

G.S.T.:

The G.S.T. will be added to all programs (in which the participants are over 14 years of age), all memberships and all rentals.

Non-Resident Policy:

An additional charge of 20% will be added to all memberships for non-residents. The programs offered by the Parks and Recreation Department are subsidized by municipal taxes so we keep the cost as low as possible for those who already contribute to the municipal tax base. A non-resident is defined as anyone who does not pay their taxes directly to the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Customer Satisfaction:

We are committed to customer satisfaction. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, good or bad, please let our staff know.
