Northern Thunder Dragway Races

Kirkland Lake is home to the Northern Thunder Dragraces, held each August. This event attracts over 5,000 people each year, and features more than 200 competitors from all over Ontario, Western Quebec and Northern USA who compete in different classes for a part of the prize purse.

For 40 years, JSANO has brought fun, entertainment and learning to local and visiting youth.

Winter Carnival

KL is home to Ontario’s premier Winter carnival. With sporting events, family challenges and a host of activities especially for the kiddies, it's no wonder that its fast becoming known as one of the best in Ontario. Join us this year for some good old-fashioned fun!

Snow Cross Races

K.L. hosted its first pro snow cross race during the 2004 winter carnival. It was so successful that the Canadian Snow Cross Racing Association named K.L. as one of the stops on its national circuit. Come out and watch the competition from throughout Canada and the U.S. as they tear up the track!
