has six primary schools and two high schools offering instruction
in English, French and French immersion. Management is the

Secondary
Northern College
offers one-, two- and three-year programs in the fields
of technology, business, human services, health and emergency
services and veterinary sciences. Northern also offers post-diploma,
apprenticeship, skills and job re-entry programs funded
by the federal and provincial governments. The College also
provides job related training. This includes providing the
facilities for the delivery of third party programs, or
the development of courses to meet the needs of a company.

Continuing Education
Adults seeking
secondary school courses can access District School Board
Ontario Northeast’s Rainbow Project or their Adult Basic
Education program. Northern College’s Continuing Education
program also offers certification in a range of disciplines
including math, English, computer sciences, etc. Northern
College’s program also offers general interest courses,
skill upgrading courses, etc.

opportunities to people whose schedule makes it difficult
to attend regular day or evening classes. A variety of options
are available, including correspondence, web based learning
and independent distance learning.
