Department of Corporate Services User Fee Schedule

The Clerk’s Office is the primary link between Kirkland Lake ratepayers and their municipal Council. The Office acts as a secretariat to Council and its Committees, preparing agendas and minutes, ensuring procedural rules and protocols are followed and ensuring that legislative requirements as set by the Province are adhered to.

 

Other major responsibilities of the Office include:

  • General enquiries;
  • Register and record births, deaths and other vital statistics;
  • Certification of municipal records;
  • Repository of municipal tenders;
  • Municipal / school board elections;
  • Research and development of municipal by-laws;
  • Lottery licences;
  • Administration of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Personal Privacy Act;
  • Access to information requests;
  • Issue marriage licences; and
  • Commissioning of oaths and affidavits.
