The Teck Centennial Library was established
in the 1920’s to serve the residents of Kirkland Lake and
Swastika as a place of research, information, culture and
entertainment. Today, the Library offers a range of services
that include a comprehensive store of bound books, periodicals
and audio-visual resources, music collections, public Internet
services, research assistance, and children’s story time
hours. A measure of its popularity is the fact that roughly
48% of residents hold a library card.
The main library is located at 10 Kirkland Street. The facility
is closed Sunday and Monday. It is open four days a week,
and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m.
