Are you operating a business in Kirkland Lake, or thinking of starting something up? There are a number of local organizations that can provide you with information and assistance.

 

 

Economic Development Division
The EDD is a part of the municipal government. Its mandate is to promote the community to outside investors and tourists. The Division also provides basic research and analysis services, and advocates on behalf of the local business community to the municipal, provincial and federal governments.

Kirkland and District Community Business Development Corporation

KDCDC is a federally funded organization whose mandate includes community development and small business support. KDCDC provides advice, information and referral services. It also provides access to capital for small business financing through its locally governed investment funds.

Temiskaming Development Fund Corporation

Temfund is an aggressive, yet selective lender to new and existing businesses in the manufacturing and tourism sectors within the District of Temiskaming. You can contact them at temfund@temfund.ca.

Kirkland Lake and District Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber is the voice of the local business community. It provides a forum for the discussion of issues, advocates on behalf of the business community to government, and pursues strategies to improve relations with the general community.
