Kirkland Lake offers a well educated work force capable of meeting
the most demanding commerical or industrial needs. Over 40% of the
population aged 25 and older possess a post-secondary education,
with the majority holding a trades certificate or college diploma.
Businesses also benefit from the existence within the community
of Northern
College of Applied Arts and Technology. Northern offers courses
in the fields of applied arts, business, health sciences, material
joining, forestry, environment, police foundations, etc. The College
also conducts contract training, provides adult training, and serves
as the delivery site for extension courses through Contact
North, as well as
other advanced education institutions.
