Kirkland Lake is home to every kind of business, from small family stores to companies serving regional, national and even international markets. Low operating costs, a cooperative, skilled labour force, and excellent supporting infrastructure are among the reasons they set-up shop here, and why they stay, even when their target markets are elsewhere. Below, a number of businesses explain why they call KL home.

Trans-Cycle Industries Inc. (TCI)

Trans-Cycle Industries Inc., (TCI) one of the leading PCB electrical equipment recyclers in Canada and in the United States, established an operation in Kirkland Lake in 1998.

Our decision to locate here was based on the community’s proximity to our markets, the support we received from town officials, and the financial assistance available to help us through the project construction and development phases. We stay because the town has the amenities we need, including a talented trade and labour pool and a range of services and products, from equipment fabrication and design to health and safety products

TCI is proud to be a part of the Kirkland Lake community, for today and for the future.
