Kirkland Lake is located in the heart of northeastern Ontario. Trans Canada Highways 11 and 66 provide convenient road access to Quebec, southern Ontario and onwards to the rest of the north.

Ontario Northland provides rail and long distance bus services. ONR's new train schedule makes it easier and more convenient than ever to travel between northern and southern Ontario.

Commercial air services are available through Rouyn-Noranda or Timmins, each located a little over an hour away. Charter flights can use the Kirkland Lake Municipal Airport.
