A
Bylaw to Authorize the Mayor and Clerk
to Execute an Agreement with
The
Ministry of Transportation
For
the 2008 Municipal Road and Bridge Infrastructure Investment
WHEREAS the 2008 Provincial Budget has approved funds
to the Town of Kirkland Lake in the amount of $156,793 for municipal road and
bridge capital investment needs.
THEREFORE
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake enacts as follows:
1.
That
the Mayor and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute an agreement
with The Ministry of Transportation, allocating $156,793 to municipal rod and
bridge capital investment needs, a copy of which agreement is attached and
marked as schedule A to this bylaw.
2.
That
the final project summary report detailing expenditures, use of provincial
funding, and outcomes achieved shall be submitted to the ministry and the
ministry may request an independent audit of the project.
3.
Any
funds intended for these projects that are not used in accordance with the
ministry Connecting Link guidelines or the terms outlined above will be
returned to the ministry.
